A2141 - no update / fresh install / only catalina

hey guys,

got a A2141 16" here. I can install catalina over internet recovery, but nothing else over usb.

"update failed" at the end of the progress bar in the recovery

dfu restore no help...

internet recovery is on sonoma now. (cmd+option+r)


any ideas?

You shoud change security settings, before booting from USB.
Why need that, if you can install from Internet?

i want to update the system. but not possible.

Did you try to install Ventura from Internet?
What error did you get?

tried everything / internet / from boot-usb / dfu restore

Just a message is coming up "update failed" at end of installation

Shift + CMD + Option + R should reinstall the original system.
Try that...
