Hi,

I have an A2159 820-01598 with no power.

First it was pulling 0.70A from ampmeter, and I've tried safe / target boot mode, and DFU restore without success. DFU gave a lost conection error.

After DFU try, now I have board alone on bench, 20V on ampmeter, but 0A.

PPBUS_G3H = 12.62V

PP5V_G3S = 5V
3V3_G3S = 3.3V
1V8_G3S = 1.8V

Can you help?

Hi,

Right now it is was on recovery mode, but it also falis when restoring. After a few times, I managed to get it in DFU mode, but got the same error, and it went into recovery mode again.

Hi,

Same problem with an original charger and known good battery (Restoring and DFU).

DFU fail with the same error, and then goes to recovery mode.

Hi.

I only tried the bin you send me, but I got the same error in DFU mode.

After flashing SoC ROM, the Mac still was in recovery mode. It should be in DFU, correct?

Hi.

I already done DFU, but it fails with the same error. Using the keys combination it enters in DFU mode (after inicial entering recovery mode after power on).

I realize that now it only pulls 5V from ammeter (but still goes to recovery and DFU modes).

Do you mean force it with the jumpers?

I've never done that. I suppose I can use the AS programmer to do so, but not sure, and don't want to cause a bigger problem.

Can I erase it with AS programmer?

Doesn't matter, you can use any supported programmer; same as for reflashing.
Any programmer has Erase option...
