I connected the master USBc port to a mac and apple configurator didn't see it. Voltage at C5403:1 is 12.32V - even though that component doesn't seem to be present.

Be aware, for M1 DFU port is the one from the corner!
From the picture, seems that you've connected the cable on the wrong port.

Use the external switch method, if you cannot acces DFU with its keyboard.
You may need to disconnect touch ID and use another switch for PMU_ONOFF_L pads.

I'm unfamiliar with the external switch method. I don't understand the instructions, because the device will not power on, how will I put it in DFU mode?

Thank you for the link. According to the instructions in the picture, can I just connect SV004:4(SOC_FORCE_DFU) to RR503:1(PP1V25_S2)?

Yes, if you like.

Isn't more easy to do it as in the link?
You can join RV005 pads with a solder blob.

I don't have voltage at SV004:1 or RR503:1. I can't find pp1v_25_S2 anywhere. This board is missing components where my boardview software shows them.

"You can join RV005 pads with a solder blob"
Then solder external switch over SV004 pads; 1-2, or 3-4, how you like.

Try to put some logic on your job.
Interpret a schematic, not just watch it.

I hear you, I didn't have a schematic, only a BV. But anyway, I understand your instructions, but just want to clarify one thing. To do what you're talking about, I will need to remove the board, join RV005, then reinstall the board - this is correct? I didn't see a way to get to RV005 from the top of the board, but you are far more experienced, and the techs over there are super fast, so I want to make sure I'm not making more work than necessary.

I don't have such board on my hands.
Find a convenient point for 1V25_S2; to avoid board removal.
Connect the switch between such point and SV004; pad 2, or 4.

Thank you for the extremely clear instructions. I have done as suggested but nothing happens, nothing comes up in Apple Configurator. For reference, I'm using RD211:1 for 1V25_S2, at which point, there is no voltage.

Stop writing "V" after diode mode readings.
Avoid any confusion with voltage checkings.

Check U8100 and U7700 LDOs; pages 33 & 28.

L21 PP1V2_S2 = 0
H22 PP3V3_S2_UPC = .175, slowly rises to .250, then falls slowly back to .175
M19 PP1V8_AON_MPMU = 0

You mentioned AVREF. Did you mean H7 MPMU_VREF_ADC from the picture I posted, or are you referring to UE010:8, PP2V5_S2SW_EADC1_AVREF?
