A2681 820-02862 ALS

Hello,

I'd like some help to identify the value of the burnt component on the Angle Lid Sensor of A2681 MacBook Air M2.

I know that I can get a brand new ALS and move the chip to it but I prefer to repair the current cause I don't have any spare parts for it + don't wanna wait for the part to arrive.

Looks more like capacitor; it is corroded?
If is just a capacitor, remove it and test machine reaction.

I measured the capacitor and it was shorted and the one above it shorted as well. I removed the burnt capacitor and short was gone, noticed there was corrosion under the ALS chip, removed it and cleaned the pads on both sides and now it POSTS successfully.
