Hello,

I have an A2681, it got wet, the customer brought it back to another store and then to us.

I found oxidation on the backlight area, next to UP950, UR630, and UR600.

We also found some oxidation on UF 350. I cleaned it and replaced it.

Before, it wouldn't start, but I replaced UR630 and UR6000 and now it starts, but sometimes the backlight is weak and I noticed that when I clip the motherboard onto the chassis, the backlight doesn't work, but when I don't clip it on, it works.

When I have the backlight, I get to the session password, but the chassis keyboard and mouse don't work. When I use a USB-C adapter to connect a keyboard and mouse, they don't work either.

Now, the backlight is always dim, even though I haven't touched the motherboard.

On the UP950, I have power coming in on PPBUS_AON (12V) and on the FP800 fuse I have 0V.

Do you think that's the problem?

The data is extremely important and my goal in repairing it is to make a backup.

If I do a swap, can you tell me which components to swap? Thank you.

Do you get external video?

Which schematic using there?
Check MLB code (02536 maybe), not KB daughter board.

You don't have TV/monitor for test, or you don't get external image?
Test closing the lid, once the MacBook turns on.

I have a screen, but I don't get any display when I connect the Mac externally. I tried connecting and disconnecting the screen cable.

I tried closing the cover, but got the same result.

As I said at the beginning of the post, I don't have backlighting, the USB-C ports don't work, and the keyboard and trackpad don't work.

You didn't answer my question. I asked: If I do a swap, can you tell me which components to swap?
