Hi everyone,
Posting this M2 Air (A2681, 820-03294, 256GB config) that's been giving me trouble.
Visual inspection Board is clean. No liquid damage, no oxidation, no burnt or cracked components under microscope.
Power behavior
What's established
Everything looks healthy. No obvious failure point. The SoC boots, negotiates USB-PD, sits in DFU — but the Revive never progresses. No video at all during the process is what bothers me most compared to similar documented cases.
My working hypothesis NAND internal failure (dead cells or internal controller), or cold joint under UN000 BGA.
Has anyone seen a case where all NAND rails and control signals are nominal but the NAND is still dead internally? And does the "no video during Revive" symptom narrow it down further in your experience?
Thanks

Visual inspection Board is clean. No liquid damage, no oxidation, no burnt or cracked components under microscope.
Power behavior
- MagSafe lights up normally
- USB-C port 1: negotiates 20V
- USB-C port 2: negotiates 20V
- With battery: 20V/3A -> Stabilize at 20V/2.10A
- Without battery: 20V/0.11A
- Mac is detected in DFU by Apple Configurator 2

- Revive fails: "Gave up waiting for device to transition from DFU state to DFU state"
- Restore fails at same step
- Console.app logs: State Machine stuck in DFU, Failed to create recovery OS variant
- Device stays in DFU for 5–7 min then disconnects - never transitions to Recovery
- No backlight, no video at any point during attempts
- No thermal anomalies, no current spikes during attempts
- PP1V25_AWAKE_NAND_VCCQ: 1.245V

- PP2V58_AWAKE_NAND_VCC: 2.60V

- PP0V88_AWAKE_NAND_VDD: 0.879V

- NAND0_RESET_L: 1.245V

- NAND0_WP_L: 1.244V
- NAND0_PFN_L: 1.245V

- NAND0_JTAG_TRST_L: 0V
What's established
- SoC is alive (DFU detected, USB-PD negotiates, all rails generated)
- PMIC is fine (all critical rails nominal)
- NAND power delivery is correct
- SoC is actively driving NAND control signals correctly
