I have a 2016 MacBook 12" with the non-recognized SSD issue and am wondering if anyone has any good ideas on how to continue using these with some type of external SSD possibly? I hate to just get rid of this as an as-is computer.
A good 64-128GB USB 3 pendrive, using USB-C hub adapter.
Be aware, some pendrives are very slow; you have to test various, with patience.
If you don't find a hub which allows charging, then you can only use this "toy" on battery mode.
Thanks, that's the path I'm on. Being that I'll need to buy two components, I'm not sure if it's worth investing more money to save a pretty terrible computer. I'll probably just sell it as-is.
