Can you remove UB000 on 820-00923?

Any idea if this board would still be able to use the left USB ports if I just pulled UB000? It has a short on the 3V3_S0 line (PP3V3_TBT_T_S0) on this chip and I don't have any interest in replacing the chip. But I would be fine if it only had 2 USB ports vs 4.

The only reason I ask is because I would rather leave this intact for someone else with more time and ability to work on. It will be much harder to sell with a huge chip missing versus being completely intact. I don't believe it was a spill either so the board is really clean.

Won't the SMC want to hear from all the USB controller chips?

Also, the computer just goes straight to high fan spin when you plug it in.

USB-C voltage level is negociated only between SMC and charger via CD3215 chips.
No USB data lines are used for that.
