Converting 0005 to 9000 on 2915 boards

Hi.

I still have a bunch of 6490M chips left. I'm thinking it may be possible to convert the 2915 boards by:

Flash BIOS
Swap GPU
Swap VRAM
Change strapping resistors

Would that work?

Just don't. Save the chips for the board that need them as 9000 chips are nowhere to be found either.
All 512MB 0005 boards you can just slap a 9000 on there and it should work. On 1GB board you will need to change the VRAM chips so fuck that.

I replaced 0005 with 9000 several times and mostly it just work.

512MB hynix I put 9000 and works.

512MB Samsung I put 9000 and white screen. No apple. Later I put 0005 and works.

9000 is not compatible with samsung 512MB?
R8610 and R8611 are present.

I want to do it as I have just now a board with 512MB Samsung I put 9000 and white screen. Is there something that I can change and get it work? Any idea?
