Hey!

We replaced a battery over a month ago in a MacBook Pro. It's a mid 2017 13 inch A1708. Customer reports that it will discharge on its own and find the battery is dead. We can't find anything specifically wrong with it. Charges up without issue so I'm at a bit of a loss to understand where he's going with this? Appreciate any thoughts.

First of all, welcome to the forum!

You should test with known good battery, even old one.
Be aware, new chinese doesn't mean known good!

Here is what we recieved from the customer:
Started with the battery getting depleted very quickly. Once it was replaced it worked properly for a couple days and then wouldn’t charge.

So now the only issue is that it does not charge. No other issues.

Is the battery recognized by macOS at least?
Be sure the data cable makes good contact.

We need some measurements on the charger circuit...

Yes it is recognized and no noted issues there. The odd thing is I get a dead battery warning when plugged in with one charger ( I think that charger may have an issue). But if I plug in another charger the Mac boots up and says the battery is 100% charge. If I disconnect it it doesn't go down either. Its kinda odd to me. Can you be a little more specific about the measurements you need and the charging circuit?

Let the machine working with battery alone and check how much time takes to drop until 10%, or turning off.
Also check if battery drops when you close the lid for 1-2 hours.

I don't see any reason to quote an entire post, visible few centimeters above.
