[help] a1502 820-4924 extremely slow after liquid spill repair

motherboard with liquid spill no boot

i directly changed q1840 q1842 r1831 r1835 and r1810...


just because i've seem that it has booted, i gave it back to the client

he says that it is unusable because it is super slow. and i confirm it....it 's ultra slow ...i don't understand why. fan doesn't spin at all....could it be a correlation?

it seems to charge properly the battery...but i've discovered that if i disconnect the power supply, after seconds it power off...and the only way to power it on again, is to disconnect and reconnect the battery and the charger

Did you try known good battery?
Also test with another trackpad board/flex.

Install (if possible) HWSensors and check reported values.
You can also try to run embedded diagnostic...

i've found u5870 oxided. removed cleaned reinstalled. still the same...maybe should i change it?

i've installed a new fan and changed u5870 from donor


i have 3 errors : ppn001 pfm006 (smc) and ndc001 (webcam)


power button doesnt' work at all

On this model, the fan doesn't start until CPU gets really hot.

Possibly problem with ALS sensor; test disconnecting webcam cable.

yes fan problem fixed....but still super slow without webcam cable.. i dont understand how can it be possible a problem on the webcam...(ndc001)

i hope to fix ppn001 and pfm006 with new trackpad flex

Tried known good trackpad board also?

Check all traces and solders adjacent to U5870.
Be sure all Q587x transistors have good traces to U5870.

R5870 is still OK?

i'm goinh crazy! i've again error for the fan on aht,even if the fan works during the test, at full speed.

the system is super slow but the fan doesn't spin at all (like always happen when there error of sensors)

the system is totally unusable....i try to start application but never starts

fixed! even with good values, two traces from u5870 were broken to the thermistor!
