I have my MacBook Air S/N. How do I find the Logic Board Serial Number?

I have a mid '13 Mac Air 11" that wont hold a charge. I tried replacing the IO board but was sent an incorrect board from Ebay - the mic ribbon cable was too wide to fit. So I need the correct Logic Board number One online source said that from my serial number of the computer (C2QLM04AFKYP with 1.3 Intel 5 with 4 G) that correct logic board was 820-000164 and another suggested it was 661-7476. I need that to know which IO board to order. Or perhaps I need a new Logic Board. The computer now has no working USB ports and while it will boot up with the "replacement" IO board I bought off Ebay, it only holds 1% charge, no orange/green light. If those symptoms suggest a bad logic board Ill just opt to upgrade to a 13" MacPro A1502 that Louis recommended in his reviews.

Assuming it's indeed an A1465 2013, main logic board model number is 820-3435. Left I/O board model number is 820-3453.
You haven't stated what was the issue with the original Left I/O board. Also does "wont hold a charge" mean "doesn't charge at all"?

If no Magsafe light present, is impossible to charge the battery.
SMC MUST first detect the charger type.

You should check the exact 820-xxxx code on your MLB, to avoid any error identification.

OK, I'd like to do that, but how do I find the 820 number on my machine? I have the machine SN but not sure which website confirms my Logicboard SN

The original IO board wont hold any charge at all. The replacement IO board I bought on EBAY which didn't have a mic cable housing that fit my ribbon cable would take up to only a 1% charge and would let me boot the machine but no more really. So charging was the original issue. Yes, its is an A1465

Still not sure what "won't hold any charge at all" means.
Usually when we say something doesn't hold a charge we're talking about the battery. Battery is a component that degrades over time so it'll last less and less time and at one point it'll stop working entirely.
So saying "The original IO board wont hold any charge at all." is a bit weird and doesn't really describe the original symptoms.

Possible symptoms include no green light on the Magsafe, not turning on at all, not turning on from battery, not turning on from Magsafe, turning on from Magsafe or battery but not charging the battery, etc…

Also state the model number on the original Left I/O board and the new Left I/O board. It's written on it somewhere. If you can't find it (it's written on it somewhere), send pictures of both.
Main logic board model number is also written on the main logic board… maybe above CPU.

Ok Sorry. The Battery is somewhat new and had been charging fine. For months, I've had to wiggle or hold the plug from the MagSage in a certain way to finally see an orange light then gently let go of the plug to maintain the light. Now I cannot get the plug into any position to gain any orange light. I ordered a new MagSafe charger AND a used IO board from Ebay (which was the wrong board apparently since I cant get my Mic ribbon cable to fit into the replacement IO boards receptor - my cable is slightly too wide). But even with the Mic left unplugged, it will only get to a max 1% charge. and now the USB port is nonfunctional. Thanks

OK Thanks I found the Logic Board SN It is as was suggested by Piernov 820-3435-A Now, based on the symptoms described above, do you think it is worth ordering a new and appropriate IO board? Any suggestions on a source to order the correct IO board? I see Rossmann's has none in stock. Thanks!

Ok with all the info that makes more sense. Hopefully with new Magsafe, DC-in board and DC-in flex cable the issue is solved.
If you are in the USA, check on ProTech Restore. Apparently the DC-in flex cable is out of stock, but give them a call or send them a message to see if they can find something. They should also be helpful to make sure you get the right product for your machine.

Also inspect the DC-in flex connector on the logic board to make sure it's not damaged.

Youre talking about the connector that one plugs into the logic board which is soldered onto the IO board, correct?

You didn't confirm if Magsafe light is still off.

"For months, I've had to wiggle or hold the plug from the MagSage in a certain way to finally see an orange light then gently let go of the plug to maintain the light. Now I cannot get the plug into any position to gain any orange light"
You should try a known good working Magsafe 2 charger, with the replacment LIO board.
May have dirty connector on the old charger; I don't think to have two different LIO boards with DCIN connector failing.

BTW, do NOT quote again an entire post visible few centimeters above.

Thanks all, especially Piernov. Ordered the correct IO board and it now allows charging to take place orange then to green. Thanks!
