MacBook 820-00244 - SSD not detected

Hi,

I have a 820-00244 board, powering on to flashing folder.

SSD not detected in disk utility and system info.

The board suffered liquid damage but was cleaned by another repair store.

These are the voltage I could measure.

SSD_PWR_EN_L = 0v on R1431
PP3V3_S5 = 3.34v on R9387
PD_L = 3.31v on R9387
SSD_RESET_L = 3.28v on U8650
STORAGE_EN = 3.31 on R9388
SSD_SR_EN_L = 3.38 on R1571
PICCOLO_NOR_CS_L = 3.34v R9386
PICCOLO_PID1 = 3.34v R9381
PICCOLO_PID0 = 3.34v R9380
PICCOLO_PGOOD = 0V on R9384, PP3V3_S5 = 3.34v ON SAME RESISTOR. PICCOLO_PGOOD resistance to GND about 37k varying.
PICCOLO_WP_L = 0v on R9385
STORAGE_LATCH = 3.17V on D8301

I Suspect SSD_PWR_EN_L but it is coming from PCH, R1431 tested 95k

Any idea?

First of all, welcome to the forum!

This should be CPU issue, one of classic problems on these boards.

Why, if is good?

You should check SSD_SR_EN_L on working board.

Hi 2informaticos,

Checked SSD_SR_EN_L on working board and it's 3.38v.

On PP3V3_S5 side of R9384 3.34v is present but on U9300 side 0.01v.

When checked with power disconnected no short to GND and R9384 read 37k.

I will replace U9300 and check again.

i reflow also the u9300 still the same problem
