Macbook A1297 820-2914 No DIsplay no Backlight

That Macbook came in with minor water damaged, some rails were cut off I was able to run jumpers to reconnect all the lines but apparently macbook is coming on ok but without any images or backlight, the caplocks on the keyboard light is on but there s no display or back light, I checked diode mode reading to ground of the connector J9000 all pads reading are fine , but no voltages when checking the voltages,

Please help me out .

Did you test external video?

Don't you get 3V at pin 4 of J9000?
LCD EEPROM requires this voltage first.

"Did you test external video?"

Voltage and diode mode at pins 6 & 7?
Be sure L9010/11 and all LVDS Transmitter Termination resistors are good.

No I have not tested any external video yet ,

Pin 6&7 diode mode reading is 0.473 both pads and voltage is 1.8V , I reviewed L9010.11 they are looking good and all the resistors are also looking fine but i did not test them.

You should get aprox 3V at pins 6 & 7; check with LCD disconnected too.

May have problems with U9270 and probably GPU.
If missing external video, try to disable GPU.

Pins 6&7 with lcd connected is giving 3V , That laptop does not have HDMI lcd connector to try an external LCD , I will try that tomorow or if you have another method to connect an external video you can please give me the tips to do so , next thing , How do i disable GPU?

Please, post accurate information.

Check LCD_PWR_EN and pins 2/3 voltage (J9000).
BTW, keep LCD connected, when you check voltages on video area.

Don't you have DisplayPort adapter?

Looks like LCD is not detected, or is bad.

This shouldn't be GPU problem.
But you can try to disable it, just in case.
Do it in BIOS, with Medusa; is the fastest way.
GMUX flashing is another option.

Any other suggestions, the LCD works fine with my donor board so its not a LCD issue , do you Think J9000 fpc might be my issue , I am seeing it like it was forced i am not sure if It has inner pin isse , should i just replace j9000 FPC connector?

Replace it, if in doubts.
I already understood that LCD is good.
So is not recognized because of other problem; bad connector, broken/corroded trace, or knocked off component.

Great, I was able to replaced the connector , and BOOM display starts working , but there s another little issue , I wouldn't read certain Hard Drive. it would load to 85% and give a white screen then restart. Any suggestions ?

But Funny thing is , I Have tried 2 other hard drives and they booted very fine , that was why i was not pointing directly at the gpu, I have also purposely inserted a Hard drive without any OS on it and it read that the Hard drive was blank, Let me know if that could also be the Cable join the hard drive to the The board , seems like the owner of the device was playing rough trying to do her own thing on it , I will try in safe mode to see.

How not reading, if you get 85% of progress bar?
Don't make such confusion.

So you have some HDD which can enter macOS, and other no?

Test with Windows, or Linux live.
