Hey Guys, got a macbook here where I think it might be dead Nand but just want to check with you if it might be something else.

At first was no power completely dead. Took board out didnt find anything obvious like short etc.. Did "revive" from another mac and saw shortly apple logo and battery afterwards charged again. But no boot.

See Sofix Measurements on port attached.

Checked some voltages again:

20V on all USB C - Battery is now charging
PPBUS_G3H = 12,58V
PP5V_G3S = 5,146V
PP3V3_G3H_T=3,36V
PP1V8_SLPS2R = 1,8V
PP1V8_AWAKE =1,8V
PP1V1_SLPS2R = 1.1V
PP0V8_SLPS2R= 0,8V
PP1V2_AWAKE = 1,2V
P3V3MAIN_PGOOD = 3,3V

For the SSD, the main voltages i think are present:
PP2V5_NAND_SSD0 =2,5V
PP2V5_NAND_SSD1 = 2,5V
P0V9_LX1_SSD0= 0,9V
P0V9_LX1_SSD0 = 0,9V
P1V8_LX0_SSD0 = 1,8V

other side looks same.

When trying to restore with another mac:

DFU RESTORE = AMRestoreErrorDomain - 0x23 (35))
Error while formatting nand

DFU REVIVE = AMRestoreErrorDomain 0x6 (6))

Would you guys say dead nand or try something else ??
Thank you!

Any history available?
What is CPU core voltage behavior?
Did you check USB activity and external video?

From one day to another it stopped working. Tried to turn on, but stayed black. no water damage, just alot of dust inside. cleaned it up

battery was drained, macbook was not charging.

after revive in apple configurator it charged. showed apple logo for a bit and then stayed dead.

no fan spin, no core voltage no external video.

Yea sounds like... Just for the final infos:

Not very familiar with Apple configurator. As soon as i connect the dead macbook it comes up in "Recovery mode" . with button combo i can then get to DFU.

Shows only up as "apple controller"

Shouldnt be the S5 voltages present aswell with type c connected and battery attached ?S

For the S5 Voltages:
PP1V8_S5 = Missing (0V)
PP3V3_S5 = Missing (0V)
PP5V_S5_LDO = Missing (0V)

S5 voltages appear later in the power on sequence.
G3S and SSD voltages must come on before that.

You can try DFU with external switch method:
