No liquid, but there should be some history fault.
Trackpad works correctly?
Check 3V3 and 5V power rails of J6700.

Try known good trackpad board/flex.
Be sure R/L6700 are both good.
Be sure R/L6700 are both good.
So R6700 is bad; replace it.
First be sure, no short to ground on its pin 2; check w/ and w/o TP connected.
