Correct, you should be able to put the machine in DFU.
Read and follow the instructions.
Don't forget to force the machine off, pressing onoff switch for 8s; is the first step.
Then press DFU switch alone, for aprox 3-5s.

3s should be enough, no more than 5s.
If fails, long press again onoff switch and repeat.
You can also try pressing both switches for 5-10s.
Then release onoff and maintain DFU switch 3-5s more.
