MacBook Air 11" Early 2014 820-3435-B CPU super hot and won't boot from any HD

No signs of water damage, computer turns on by itself when the charger is plugged in, shortly after it tries to boot the circle sign with a bar across shows on screen, same thing happens when trying to start from external HD, the HD selection menu comes up, we select the external HD we want and the same sign comes up, we also noticed that the CPU gets boiling hot.

So far we have inspected the board for obvious signs of water damage or components damaged, but the board looks clean, we also tried to start the MacBook with as few components as possible, but the same problems is still there.

Should I try something to verify it is the CPU before giving up?

What OS are you booting from? Try booting an older one like Yosemite externally. If still no boot, your only hope is a bad BIOS honestly if no liquid damage is present. Was this machine dropped?

Thanks, I did try Yosemite as my external boot drive option 10.10.X and same thing, no liquid damage but there are a few dents in the corners so for sure it was dropped at some point.

Yeah BIOS or CPU likely. Drop damage can be a nightmare...

Ok thanks, just so I can learn, how can one repair the BIOS? Can the info be transferred to a new chip?

You need to remove U6100 and read/write with external (classic) programmer.
Medusa programmer allows to make all the job onboard.

Upload your BIOS backup somewhere.
