MacBook Air "Core i5" 1.8 13" (Mid-2012)
ID 5,2
Model A1466 EMC 2559

I have a Macbook Air with extremely slow mouse / non moving mouse.
In OS X it's a bit better with an external mouse but not brilliant. In Linux there is no issue with either.
We replaced the trackpad with no effect.
The computer is "usable" in safe mode so I was wondering if something like this software could be an ASD alternative? https://www.tunabellysoftware.com/tgpro/

I tried to run ASD 3S115 however when I attempt to boot to that drive I get an angry beep and the computer restarts.
I believe I need ASD 3S150 based on the link below however the download for that doesn't work! Failure to extract or somesuch error.

Thanks that download worked. I am running the tests now. The touch-pad is still going crazy even in ASD, I have replaced it. Could this be something else?

The behavior has now changed from not moving much / very slow. (Mac also runs slow) to randomly jumping around the screen.

It's up to memory tests now so I guess that rules out sensors.?

Did you try board in different TopCase to opt out keyboard? it might cause same behaviour with faulty keyboard, and of course try with good clean IPD cable.

I have not moved yet but I unplugged the keyyboard and the cursor has stopped moving around like crazy but it's still sluggish. 2 - 3 second delay after moving my finger. I'll move the motherboard tomorrow to a new case / trackpad.
