MacBook Pro 2012 15 inch A1398 No power button

A customer sent in his MacBook for repair. No water damage at all. resistor R5710 was not showing any continuity, I replaced the pin and it shows continuity. however, there's still no power button functionality.
Note- the keyboard is now stuck in caps for some reason :/

First of all, welcome to the forum!

Do you have 820-3332 board there?
Check SMC_ONOFF_L and WS_KBD_ONOFF_L when you press power button.
Test using R5015/16 pads instead of power button.

If R5710 was corroded, remove C5710, which can be affected too.

So while doing that, what should i be looking for when i short those pads?
