When turn on the mac and login with password it works fine but if not login within 2 minuets it shutdown itself. Is it hardware issue or something else? Before it was dropped from 1 feet on carpet and no backlight . fix it but now see this issue. No idea what it could be. Thanks in advance.

Doesn't show password screen if press trackpad click?
Do a PRAM reset and try again.
If you let it into boot menu, still goes off?

"yes ,show password screen if press trackpad click."
So it doesn't turn off, just goes to standy-by...

yes , that right it goes to login screen again when press trackpad click.. I dont have issue with login screen. Issue is if i dont sign in within two minuites it shutdown itself. I did google and see some people have the same issue and no solution.

So after these 2min doesn't come at login screen just clicking on trackpad; you need to press power button?

If that's the case you're making an issue out of nothing.....this is the same on many Macs if you don't login after powering it on.....

That is, I just tested it now in a MacBook Pro 15" from 2010.
It goes off if no password typed.
I didn't exactly count the time, this is less important; few minutes, less than 5 for sure.
