Ordered myself a Thermal Camera. UG800 was heating up.
Removed that and the short is gone.

This is a relatively new board. Where to find this part? Which boards?
M1 Air and Pro.

i think U9580 from A2141 (820-01700) should work ?

Start with just 1V; don't inject more than 5.5V there.
Thermal camera may help you to find the culprit with lower voltage.

Replaced UG400. All short Gone.
But when i plug in from the corresponding port PPBUS is stuck at 1.2V. Whereas if i power up from the other C port it is going upto 12V. (Fuses Removed)

Is the CD3217 bad or there is some other issue? How can i confirm before replacing it with another?

I changed another CD3217 from the same donor board. Now getting even lesser voltage 0.3V.

Please guide

CD3217 chips replacement generates lot of problems on the new models.
Ypu should get them from exact same model donor board, maintaining the same position.

Just in case, try replacing the corresponding TBT ROM too.
Should be good to make backup of both ROM chips.

Let me try and find the same model.
If not is there any way to bypass it? Customer is okay with not using 1 port.
