Newbie question: Can the amtech flux cause a short when is crystallized?

I forgot to clean with the ultrasonic one mobo I´ve already mounted the mac and give it to my father, could be the amtech flux cause a short?

I've never had this problem. I clean the flux off sometimes, but for douchebags I just reassemble it filled with flux. None of them have come back yet.

Yes there are lots of fake fluxes on the market that will cause shorts/corrosion after a few weeks. If it comes from China it will be fake.

Keep in mind that flux produced in Connecticut will never be sold from China cheaper than it is sold from the U.S.
