[SOLVED]820-3115-b Keeps killing power button

pp3v42_g3h 3.48v
3v3s4 3.34v
smc_onoff_L 3.48v

i have replaced this customers keyboard 2 times,
there was liquid contact previously, but after cleaning, everything seemed in order.
all keys work, with the exception of the power button.
a test keyboard does work.
i can power on and off the laptop by shorting smc_onoff_L to ground

If i have black probe on ground red probe on smc_onoff_L and press the power button i get no beep. It definitely is a bad power button, but what is causing this.

ill double check the keyboard connector looked very clean, but ill throw it under the microscope again. may just be a case of bad keyboards.

either bad keyboards or bad keyboard connector. Rip keyboard connector off, replace it, and run a jumper from pin 5 of J5713 to pin 2 of J5710. . See what happens. Obviously after trying a known good keyboard; I'm going to assume you're buying from a trusted supplier and not garbage off eBay. "Commodity" parts off eBay are often trash.

after pulling the connector i did find some mild corrosion on one of the pads. the computer did power up shorting the power pins. just killed the power button. this is solved thank you.
