Hi Guys,

I have an 820-3330 that had a blown backlight.

Fixed that issue but now I have lines in the picture; kind of like only every second column of LEDs in the LCD is working.

I have attached a photo but it doesn't show up very well.

Just noticed the pointer is laggy too. When I change the bright the box on the screen takes a moment to come up.

C7771 on a 3330 board?....

Can,t really see anything on the picture, what I think I see is just moire from the camera?

Is the problem in the LCD or in the backlight?

have you try a known working display and new cable?. have you change C7771 Tantalum capacitor yet? if still occur try tapping u9600 mux ic hard.

Should have mentioned I have tried a known working screen.

dukefawks The backlight is working properly now. The problem is with the picture on the LCD. If you look closely at the writing on the image, you can see how it is only drawing every second column.

(Open the image in a new tab so you can view it full size, it's easier to see the writing)

Whats with C7771, I haven't been able to find any info on it.

The cap measures okay and seems good to me. Replace it still?

So would pins 14, 20 & 29 are of concern?

Pin 29 is the only one I can see with a path to ground, through C7252---- Scratch that, I miss read the boardview. C7252 is above the TP is goes it.

Mark this as solved please.

I think when I (or someone, it came from another shop) removed the DC Board I clipped L9011 and knocked it off.
