How often do you get a drive to recover files from?

UFS is for recovering deleted files. Diskwarrior is for fixing a fucked partition from improper shutdown or something.

I'm more of the hardware guy. I got my buddy to fix it. He says it was fucked up partition from an update or something? Thanx though. I hate Apple stuff with an extreme passion.
