Work space under AmScope SM-4TP Dual Arm Boom Stand

I just got my new microscope today and got it all setup. It looks amazing, I do have a question tho. To focus a board on my bench the microscope head has to be about 4.5" off the desk. My old AmScope SE400-Z I had almost 9" of work space under the microscope. Is there an adjustment or something im missing I really like a little work space under the scope to solder. If I raise it any higher I cannot get focus on the board. Please let me know if anyone has any tips regarding this issue. Thanks.

You can get a barlow lens or get used to having less working distance. I prefer having it closer since it looks better this way, barlow lens/more working distance always seems to decrease the image quality for me. Further, the barlow lens to work at a greater distance hurts my back, I have to reach up to work.. but I am short, so such is life. If it does bother you greatly, look into a barlow lens.
