Ok thanks I’ll check
Damage was sustained on R7523 (P5V_S4RS3_VFB1_R) which had gone high resistance and had corrosion attaching it to the nearby ground plane. This was replaced with another resister and corroded pad re tinned.
There was also corrosion between C1272 (PP1V05_S0_PCH_VCCACLKPLL)...
Iv just tried a second time, I put my finger on the power button and then plugged in the charger. I kept holding the power button for ten seconds. Nothing at all happened. I then took my finger off the power button and the fan started spinning for a second, stopped for a second, then started for...
Yes hold the power button and plug in the charger. Nothing happens when I do this. If I then let go of the power button after this and start pressing it, the fan then spins for one second each time I press it.
pulse detected at pins 7 & 3 of U1950. If I start in SMC bypass mode, when I press the power button the fan spin for 1 second then stop. Then if I press the power button again they spin and then stop.
Ok so both PM_SLP_S4/3_L pulse when triggered.
L7320 - CPUVR_PHASE2 - triggered
L7310 - CPUVR_PHASE1 - triggered
L7630 - P1V05S0_LL - triggered
L7430 - P1V05S0_LL - triggered
L7560 - P3V3_S5_REG_L - has voltage (no change)
L7130 - CHGR_PHASE - has voltage (no change)
L3095 -...

The voltages where I put 'ok' match the voltages listed for that power rail in the schematic. Where I have written 'not ok' I have listed the voltage that was taken as it doesn't match the voltage on the schematic.
I have shorted R5115 with tweezers and saw the voltage temporally drop at...
I have a macbook in that has water damage, when the power cable is plugged in it goes green and then orange, no fan spin is seen.

I tried that and I?m getting the drop pulse, but not powering on. I did notice if I plug in the keyboard I get no charger lights at all, they come back when unplugged, so I?m guessing the keyboard has caused this.
Iv got a 820-00165 in that had water damage just about exactly a year ago and has been working just fine since with no issues.
Now when plugged into the charger it goes from green to orange light, but has no fan spin. I have taken the following voltage readings, but scratching my head a bit...
I have a 820-00840 here that is just over a year old. The customer has taken it to Apple and they said the motherboard is dead. I have inspected both sides of the motherboard. I cant see any water damage, although there was a tiny amount of corrosion on both ends of C8400, no short is detected...
Diode mode at the connector shows OL with red to ground and also black to ground in diode mode. if I go from the connector pin back to the output caps it shows as 0.00 so has continuity.
D7701 shows 0.317 one way, OL the other way.

Iv got an 820-00138-A in for repair, it has image but no backlight. Have tried another screen but still nothing. Its a difficult one as no boardview for it, so a nightmare to try and work out what is what. I have made the following diode readings, but don't have another board to compare it to so...
