I tried replacing the keyboard for this machine and it doesn't like it is possible. I removed all the rivets necessary and It still wouldn't fit over the screw holes that are on it. I just have to order a topcase with the keyboard and transfer everything over to it.

Okay I ordered another RIO Board and flex cable. So if that cable and RIO Board is not plugged in no sound will work on these Macbooks? I thought the speakers would work independently.

I don't have another audio board for this model but shouldn't the speakers still work fine even if the audio board is not plugged in? I thought the audio board is only for headphones and the microphone.

I purchased this used board from ebay and everything else is functioning besides the sound. It is not recognizing any input/output devices and even when I plug in headphones nothing happens. I'm not sure where to measure on the logic board so I can see if this is something I can fix.

Okay I looked up some keyboards for this model and it looks like almost all of them come without a backlight sheet. Do you know if it will it be easy for me to transfer the backlight sheet on the original keyboard to the new keyboard?

I got this 2017 13" FN keys macbook with liquid damage around the USB-C ports. I have cleaned and repaired and it boots up fine and everything works except for the keyboard. I figured out the issue. It ended up being one of the Command keys that were stuck pressed down. I had to pop the key out and after putting it back on the keyboard is working fine. If anyone has this issue in the future you can check to make sure all the keys are properly in place.

This board had a small amount of liquid damage by the touchid/power button flex cable and the battery connector on the logic board was broken causing the machine to not charge. I replaced that power button flex cable and the J6951 battery connector. The machine was working perfectly fine a few...

I have tried with 2 batteries. The new battery I got from ebay is an OEM battery that had 27 cycles on it. Are the two images I attached in the original post not the correct battery info page? Also, the measurements I gave above are for J6951 not J6950.

This 15" A1707 board had the battery connector ripped off the board and the pads were all gone with it. I put another J6950 on the board and I had to run a wire from each pin to a nearby probe point. I did that and after plugging in the battery cable the battery said replace now and it wasn't...

Okay I ultrasonic'd the board again, replaced the lcd cable and connector again and now I see an image on the screen but no backlight. Now on Q7700 I get 8.6v on Pin 3 and 12.56v on pins 1/2/5/6. On pin 1 of J8300 I get around 0.78v and it slowly keeps going down.

Yes I get 3.3v on Pin 4 of U8340. C8320 - C8327 all get a steady 0.45v on Pin 1 and on Pin 2 it starts around .13v and slowly goes down towards 0.03v. C8328/29 have 0v on everything except for Pin 2 of C8328 which has around .04v FL8300-3 look fine visually and it shows around .13v and slowly...
