unfortunately i dont have o scope.
smc_extal is 1.6v ( diode mode 0.737 )
smc_xtal is 0v ( diode mode 0.722 )
another isl6259 is tried, but still same symptom..
hi, this came in, clean.
ppbus is 12.2v
pp3v42 is 3.3v
but theres no green light.
I have used my known good smc in the customer board, but still no green light.
then i saw smc_bc_acok is 0.5v.
r5087 is good, i have replaced it too.
u5110 has been replaced.
diode mode of smbus_smc_bsa_scl and sda...
when this came in board turn on, theres a jumper wire from one of the six traces beside c4905, if forget which one ( not present in boardview ), i remove the wire and intend to redo all of the work.
but when i test it now, only fan spin ( normal speed ), but no brain / capslock / usb activity...
smbus_smc_a_s3_scl : 0.470
smbus_smc_a_s3_sda :0.479
smbus__mcp_0_data : 0.424
smbus_mcp_0_clk ; 0.424
all of the voltage above is 3.3v
other function is okay.
camera connector is sure good.
hi, as the title say, theres no camera detected, i have narrowed down the problem to logicboard
my known good logicboard can detect the camera inside customer chassis.
usb_camera_n and p diode mode is same at 0.411
i dont see another line for camera, is the mcp fucked?
hi, this board came in, with problem not charging, board run off battery and detect the battery.
ppbus is 12.2v.
isl is a bit botched, so i replace it.
i replaced smc, still the same.
i tried the previous smc to another working board. i have 12.6v ppbus.
i diode mode pad under smc and found...
theres indeed some flux around u1900 from previous tech work, i cleaned it, ppvrtc is 3.3v now.
but intruder_l is still 1.7v.
like the usual, try playing with resistor value, if still low then try to heat pch, then to trash bin right ? trying to build the workflow haha.
when fan spin stop ( after i probe all_Sys_pwrgd), voltage is stuck at s5 state. so no voltage beyond that point.
pp5v_s5 : 5v
pp3v3_s5 : 3.3v
ppvrtc_g3h : 2.9v ( suspicious ) diode mode 0.490
pp3v3_sus : 3.3v
smc_pm_g2_en : 3.4v
pch_intruder_l : 1.7v
pch_intvrmen : 2.4v
Hi, so this came in dead.
i see that fan is spinning and i got 1.7v at vcore, but its braindead ( no usb activity / capslock light/ chime/ image/bl)
but when i try to probe measure all_sys_pwrgd voltage, fan spin immediately turn off. ( no vcore ).
i have encountered this kind of problem before...
yes the value iswith airport connected.
i know the black sponge, but arent they only present on the 2010 kind, the one that you slide to connect, the connection isnt from above.
if i connect j3501 without airport connected at the end of its, macbook turn on normally.
as the title said.
macbook came dead, after inspecting everything, j3501 is prohibitng board from turning on if attached.
i used my good logicboard on customer part, the part itself is good. so the problem is from the customer logicboard.
diode mode of j3501 :
3 0.300
4 0.400
5 0.300
6 0.465
8...
so im using thermal cam and see that c7714 is heating up.
voltage is 3v.
i replaced c7714 and c7708 which is also heating up, but voltage is 6v now.
i use same donor board to replace it.
how can I control the voltage to 1v ? ( the good value )
