810-00045 Has All Voltages, No Video/POST

Hello. Got this piece of shit here that costumer says data is crucial for him, but I'm suspecting as always on this model to be a bad CPU. Problem is the board powers on, draws around 300mA from charger out of the case, connected directly to genuine 96W power supply but has no POST/Image. Sometimes board stops turning on and will only power again after some time sitting on the bench disconnected from energy. Where can I start? I have no experience with this boards and am completely lost.

All these boards end with dead CPU.
Very bad Apple design, no fan!

You should check if CPU gets all necesary voltages at least.
Some people claim on Internet that revived these boards with IR oven.
Other people upload videos with reballing CPU; not sure if they show the same board botting after all.

You can try the IR oven method.
If data recovery succeed, tell the client to buy another laptop.
This one may work few years more, or just hours/days...

You can reflow CPU, but be very carefull.
Use small amount of quality flux, in case of accumulated crap underneath.

For data recovery just heat it to 200°C for a couple of minutes (no need for flux). Actually reflowing the CPU will kill the board definitely.

I mentioned the flux just in case it has accumulated crap.
That doesn't suppose more than 180-200 degrees, as usual; no need to melt the balls.
