820-00165 no power

Hi guys,

Got this 820-00165 which initially had minor corrosion around U7090, no green light. Found blown D7012, replaced and now got green light but no fan spin.

PPDC_IN is only 16.44v, PPBUS_G3H is 0.3v

Any idea where to go on this one?

Looks perfect for me; in fact, its exact value depends by charger type.

Check diode mode to ground at PPBUS_G3H.
Post U7100 basic voltages: pins 1, 2, 3, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20, 27.

Diode mode PPBUS_G3H = 0.130v

U7100:

1: 15v
2: 16.41v
3: 4.31v
9: 0.02v
12: 3.37v
13: 3.34v
14: 3.34v
15: 0.11v
17: 0.5v
19: 0.5v
20: 0.3v
27: 1.38v

Check diode mode too; may need to change U7100.

Did you check with 85W charger?
However, your board must work with 45W charger.

Sorry, for some reason I though I had an 85W charger connected not a 60w, so 16.44 is obviously perfectly fine

Getting OL diode mode to ground on both 19 and 20

Change U7100.
Also check R7101.

U7100 changed, R7101 tested ok but changed anyway as I had some brand new ones.

No change, board still not powering on

Do you get at least correct PPBUS_G3H and 3V3_S5?
