So you have a problem on the PPBUS_G3H side, after the fuses.

Set the multimeter on buzzer/diode mode and fix one probe at PPBUS_G3H.
Then check if buzzes touching every coil with the other probe.

At L7231 I get 0.108 in diode mode and the meter beeps. I take it that's not a good thing...

Do you have 0.108 to ground at L7231?
Or between L7231 and PPBUS_G3H?

I said to find one coil with 0 ohm in such reading, if possible.
If none, is more difficult to diagnose, because any chip connected to PPBUS_G3H is suspect; don't exclude a cap also.
