or 989 ohms of resistance. so its actually correct. i adjusted my settings and im getting o ohms. i mis understood the thousand for thousandths. clearly a big mistake on my part. Thank you very very much for helping me understand this!
BTW we use diode scale to measure resistance to ground.
Again, forget the auto-range option!!!
Use one multimeter in 20V scale, for voltages.
Other one on diode scale (same as buzzer on many meters)...
You don't need a Fluke meter; a 10 bucks chinese meter works good for what we need.
