Noticed one of the fan connectors open, one closed. I had worked on this before and could've overlooked that I guess or customer may have been inside lol. WOndering if this overheated... CUstomer says it was working and shut off and wouldn't power back on. No sign of liquid.

WOuld that possibly explain why this revived itself? FOr some reason, unplugging the fans to check, checked voltages and would get a bit of fan spin and that was the only way. This morning when I was double checking some things I got real fan spin, it would run about 5 seconds stop and start did that about 3 times then kicked off to actual boot. put the SSD back in it didnt want to turn on again. Unplugged the battery and tried again and got it to fire. When it wasn't powering noticed the SSD was getting hot also?

There could also be somo corrosion affecting balls under BGA chips.
Not easy to diagnose random issues.
Any sign of dropped machine?

No signs of dropped that I can see. I ran NOCrash on it from realmacmods... Haven't shut it down yet to see if it will turn back on lol. I'm going to order FDMF6808 appears to be new from american source for potential issue there.

I don't recommend, such things do NOT exist.
Buy FDMF6708 from serious store, like mouser.

The supposedly "new" FDMF6808 are sold by L2 Computer. Run away from them.
Buy the FDMF6708 from Mouser indeed.
