wasnt the cable, trackpad coming tomorrow. also i noticed that the battery reads 0% all the time in energy saver. i tried a new battery but still the same thing. but im getting 3.42v on both data line resistors to the smc. 1 line pulses the other doesnt. the computer runs off the battery but i cant tell if it charges it or not. the light never goes to green even after being left in for hours. ppbus_g3h is 12.1v with battery in 12.5 without
Diode mode on all trackpad connector pins? It is also common for "new" trackpad cables to be DOA. I had a bunch of garbage cables from China last time I ordered them.
1 last issue. computer now turns on keyboard and trackpad works, but the fan goes to max and its kinda sluggish. Im guessing sensor issue but i have no idea where to start. 2015 model so no way to run sensor check software
Edit: when i hold down the d key for diagnositic. it says "no issues found".
Yes smc was replaced, but according to the customer it was running fan on max before they brought it in. Asd said no issues found when i ran it last. Ill try again though just to be sure
6 amp seems too high. The missing temp is probably iStat being stupid as that would give an ASD error for sure. 6 amps is possible on the lower voltage rails so it could also be a mistake in iStat. I'm at a loss with this one. Was the SMC replaced with the correct one? Got access to an AASP that can do an MRI for you?
No idea what either of those acronyms mean so ill say no. Im pretty sure the smc was correct but they were bought from aliexpress. I also noticed that closing the lid wont put it to sleep either. This could very well be a bad smc. I can try another after work
