Hi,

I have an A2141 820-01700-05 with no power, and shows 20.5V on ampmeter, but 0.04A.

PPBUS_G3H = 12.63V
PP1V8_G3S = 1.8V
PP5V_G3S = 5.136V
PP3V3_G3S_X = 3.389V
P3V3G3S_EN = 1.799V

PP3V3_S5 = 0V and 0.324 diode reading
PP1V8_S5 = 0V and 0.356 diode reading

Don't know where to start. Can you help?

Hi,

I've tried revive and restore DFU, but always get a comunication error.

PPBUS_G3H_SSD0_SNS = 12.63V
PP2V5_NAND_SSD0 = 2.528V
PP1V8_SSD0 = 1.803V
PP0V9_SSD0 = 0.901V

PPBUS_G3H_SSD1_SNS = 12.63V
PP0V9_SSD1 = 0.901V
PP1V8_SSD1 = 1.803V
PP2V5_NAND_SSD1 = 2.525V

Be sure to use 96/140W charger and also try with good battery connected.
Check for short on secondary power supplies, like RAM, PCH/CPU, GPU; including page 79.

If still the same, try flashing SoC ROM (U4770).

I'm already using the original charger, and I can't find any short.

I'll flash Soc ROM.

I have these two files, but don't know the difference bettwen them:

A2141 820-01700-A U2890
A2141 820-01700-A UB090

Can you help with that?

Flashing Soc ROM didn't worked. Still no power on.

However, the mac seams to be charging. It reaches 3.67A on ampmeter (starts at 0.20 (seams to be powering on at first) and then progressively comes to 3.67A)

Hi,

Actualy, now, it only puls 5V from ampmeter.

I left it charging at night, because it seamed that it was charging the battery. Last night, when I went home, it was consuming 2A (it started at 3.6A), and I thought that it was a good idea left it charging. Guess not...

Hello again.
I don't understand this, but now, without doing anything, It started to pull 20V again, and 0.598A.

PP3V3_S5 = 0V and no pulse

After a while (~15m) it goes to 5.16V on all ports, and stays there...

Did you get 20V at any moment on charger alone (no battery)?

You don't need to wait hours to know if battery is charging.
Just monitor PPBUS_G3H.
If charging, it should slowly increase, according with battery level; unless battery is already fully charged.

Yes, right now I have the 20V (charger only).

It seams that whem the battery gets full, It starts to pull 5V only. W/O battery, it stays at 20.5V
