A2251 820-01949 Stuck at 5V after water damage

Seems like something I'm doing to the U9080 when measuring it or putting it on. Just tried to reflow it again and got the same issue as before and the thermal camera is getting a spike on U9080 right when I apply power again,

PPBUS_G3H_SSD - 12.32V
PP2v5_NAND_SSD0 - .3 mV
P2V5_SW1_TPS62180_SSD0 - 0.3 mV
P2V5_SW2_TPS62180_SSD0 - 0.3mV

I mean the all MLB, not just SSD0 area.
What about U7800 coils?
3V3_G3H_RTC is there?
Any G3S voltage comes on?

U7800 coils:
0V - PP1P05_PCH_EXT
0V - PPVNN_PCH_EXT
1.804V - PP1V8_SLPS2R
0.899 - PP0V9_SLPDDR
1.101V - PP1V1_SLPS2R
0.754V - PPVDDCPU_AWAKE
0.827V - P0V8SLPDDR_SW1
0.825V - P0V8SLPDDR_SW1
0.802 - PVDDCPUSRAMAWAKE_SW0

3V3_G3H_RTC_REG_R is 3.392V

PP1V8_G3S is getting 0.1 mV
PP5V_G3S_KBD is getting 28.0 mV
PP3V3_G3S is at 0 mV

I tried to get it into DFU mode today, but I keep getting an error on my other Mac that says "Cannot Use Thunderbolt Accessory - Connect accessory to a Thunderbolt port on this Mac." I've tried this on all ports on the Mac (Its a M3 15inch Macbook Air)

Tried to do both the keyboard method and the jumper wire method using the SOC_FORCE_DFU and 1.8V pads near U9080, and neither are working.

Be sure to use the correct DFU port.
Just in case, disconnect touch ID and use a second switch for PMU_ONOFF_L pads.
Also try another cable.

The port was correct. When you mean disconnect touch ID, I did it with the logic board separate from everything else, so I'm assuming touch ID was already disconnected? I'll try the PMU_ON/OFF_L pad thing, but I also tried a different cable too. the DFU_STATUS is also at 0V when the error appears if that is significant as well. Will let you know when I try the PMU_ON/OFF_L pad. Could the heat coming from U9080 be because the enable isn't going high on it at all?

Tried to get DFU mode working again today again with what you said and wasn't successful but the heat is now changed and the input voltage and current has as well.

Now I am getting heat around U3100_X instead of U9080 and the input has changed to about .37 amps and 4.9 volts. Also the port that corresponds to U3100_X isn't working anymore.

Lifted U3100_X and got alot of corrosion. I am going to clean up everything and try to reflow it sometime next week. Diode testing the board without the chip and the chip itself aren't giving any shorts on any of the power areas.

Reball and resolder it; then check again in diode mode, once the board gets cold.
If you need to replace it, MUST be from same donor board model and same position.

Yep its the U3100_X chip. Got a few shorts on the power pins on the chip to ground.

Don’t own a donor board so unless you know a place that I can source one I guess my journey ends here?

Are the CD3217’s from AliExpress any good? Don’t wanna try it really if they aren’t labeled in terms of where they were positioned on the board.
