As I said, WiFi chip MUST be transplanted with its BT/WiFi ROMs.
I doubt you can find such deal anywhere online; only scrap board.

This machine has no economicaly repair solution.
The idea is to retrive data only.

Ok

Customer want to retrive data.

Can I assemble the machine without the MIC plugged in (since it's shorted) and without WIFI IC and bring it to Apple to recover data?

Also do you if they charge for this operation and how much is an estimation for this?

Not sure if Apple itself will perform data recovery.
Tell customer to be sure, before leaving the machine there.

Third party authorized service can do that.

I called the authorized Apple in my city. Its the biggest one and they told me they don't do it

I called a friend who is an IRP (https://support.apple.com/pt-br/irp-program) which I assume is the same as third party authorized service and he told me they never receive any instructions/equipment from Apple about that.

What am I going to do now?

I'm not authorized Apple tehnician; not exact idea how it works.
But I know for sure (from two different friends) that is possible; they are authorized by Apple.

WiFi chip died because of some overvoltage.
Other component may be damaged on the MLB.

DFU restore can't guarrantee your machine will start working properly.
It can't eliminate a hardware damage.

I’m really frustrated and confused at this point.

You initially advised me to bring the device in DFU mode to a third-party for data recovery. But now you’re saying that other components might be damaged? How would a third-party recover data if the board is damaged?

I’m seriously considering quitting this profession. After spending months trying to fix one machine without a solution, it feels like a dead end.

After all the time, effort, and money I’ve invested, I still don’t have a solution. This whole process has been maddening.

Is there any way I can be reimbursed for this month of wasted time and money?

The data can still be saved, if was possible to complete DFU revvie
CPU doesn't need to run for data recovery.
SSD is connected to T2!

So you consider that you didn't learn anything for $30, really???
You didn't even know that CPU is not need to run for data recovery.

You keep telling that data can be saved.

I contact Apple and Apple third party both told they DO NOT do it.

HOW TO SAVE DATA?

Maybe in your location you CAN SAVE DATA!!

we are talking about different countries

I pay for this forum to find solution... fixes computers... receive money and put food on my table.

If I am paying here to not find a solution... receive money... and put money on my table.... there is no reason right?

Learning doesn't help you to repair thins in the future???
Missing knowledges is exact what stops you.
Personal training is not the forum goal.
However, you learnt a lot here!

If you can't find people who know/can use DFU properly, is not my fault.
BTW, is there any Apple representant who can pair MLB with Touch ID, or angle sensor?
Or they haven't heard about that also?
