A2337 second display

Hi, i have an a2337 logic board. When i plug it in to power and use a usb-c to hdmi adapter it shows the extended display on my monitor. The cursor shows up and i can move it around but i cant see the main display no matter what i do.

Is there any way to get the main display on an external monitor with just the logic board?

Hi thanks, currently the only thing hooked up to the logic board is the usb-c board with power on one input and on the other an adapter with hdmi keyboard and mouse

I have openboardviewer and the 820-02016.bvr Is it possible to short lid_open to ground or something?

Ive tried every keyboard combination i could find to try to mirror the displays

Do you get image on internal LCD?
Can you see top menu bar?
Mirror display options not there?

Sorry i didnt mention before i dont have anything but the logic board and the usb-c board

Looks like it would possibly be IPD_LID_OPEN_1V8 but i dont see a testpoint for it

If you get image, lid signal should be good.
UR200 is in charge with lid sensors detection.
It should have high level (close to 1.8V) on all inputs and output.

Dont i want to tell it the lid is closed though so the display would be mirrored instead of extended?

Im having a hard time finding test pads in openboardview when i click on a test pad for example TP1569 it doesnt show it as connected to anything

IPD_LID_OPEN_R_1V8 is reading 1.8 volts on my multimeter

Oh i just short that to ground and it works

The next step is to force DFU mode. Do you know if there are test pads for that?

You can use SWV011 pads.
Need to solder RV020, if not present on the board.

Solder wire 1-2; cut it once machine appears on AC2.

Sorry i meant is there a pad for IPD_LID_OPEN_R_1V8 as that is a very small spot to solder to

You can tie together pins 3 & 4 of UR200.
Or use any pin of RR203.

Removing RR200/1 should have same effect.
But leaving UR200 inputs floating on air is not the best idea; should force them to ground.
