We got a board into the shop yesterday that had pretty gnarly water damage, full glass spilled on the keyboard. After looking at the board under the microscope and notating which areas and surrounding components were damaged, it went through the Crest. After removing the board and completing the cleaning ritual the board got a Green light and fan spin. The fan will spin up and then stop, off and on as long as it's plugged in. I measured PPBUS_G3H and following the changes in the fan, the voltage sits between ~11.5v and 12.6V with the fan running and when the fan stops it falls to around 3v.
I replaced several nasty looking components around the LVDS connector, including Q4262. After doing so the fan was the same and Q7085 was getting hot. I replaced Q7085 and the fan problem persists, however the PPBUS_G3H voltage is now too high sitting fluctuating around 15.8v-17.1v.
Anybody had an issue like this?
