Yes. Short Removed. i put back the board on the chasis. I connect the charger. I get the chime and then nothing. Its back to being dead.
PPBUS is still 0V.

PPVIN_G3H_P3V3G3H is 3.9V

PP3v3_G3H is 2.2V.

Diode Mode Reading to Ground is .384

PM_EN_P3V3_G3H is 4.7V

R6902 and R6915 Resistance Between Pins is 1 -2 Ohms

Went through the forum and checked the following.

R6907 between the Pins is 9 Ohms.

Should we replace it ?

L6900 is 2.2V.

After removing R6915 its 3.3V

Pin 1 of D6902 is 0V

Put correct 2.2 ohm for R6907.
However, it is used only in battery mode.
Charger powers up through R6902.
You should check if D6902 is OK; or just replace it.

Your problem may be on the 3V42_G3H line, but first assure to have good R/D6902.

i just replaced D6902 and i now getting ppbus and 20V on the amp meter. Let me put it back to the chasis and see if it boots up

It was working well but one fan wasnt spinning. So i removed the board and saw that the fan wasnt connected ( the one that connects to the keyboard.

after connecting that fan started spinning very fast so i disconnected it and the machine went dead again. Same short as before. Working on it again. Is the fan bad ?

Had to replace the Capacitor again.

Diode D6902 Pin 1 has no voltage again. Replacing that too.

It will not boot with battery connected and amp meter reboots every2-3 seconds on all 4 ports.

Without battery it boots up fine

Check resistance (ohm scale) over C7020/23.
Did you try known good battery?
What is exact PPBUS_G3H voltage?

I dont kow how it happened but it got knocked off again. Now the point is missing from the board so i had to run a jumper wire from the test point on other side of the board to pin 2 of R6051. I get diode mode reading of .750. But still it is not working on battery.

C7020/3 is 2.9 Ohms.
Tried a known good battery.

PPBUS_G3H
Without Battery Connected 13.09V
With Battery Connected 12.09V

Q7560 Voltages

With Battery Connected.

All at 12.07V Only TBA_BGATE at 4.2V

Without Battery

All at 13.09V

SCL/SDA Lines at the Battery Connector is .430 Diode Mode to Ground.

If i connect the charge first and the connect the battery after machine is booted. Restart it.
It detects the battery. Charges it too.

If i shut it down with charger connected and switch it on. It boots up normally as well.

But it switches off i remove the charger.

My hall sensors are working fine too. ( Was going through another post on this forum)

Do you mean Q7065, instead of Q7560?
Then it is open to charge the battery; as per your readings.

R6051 is not related with the battery.
Be sure R6950 is good.

R6950 is 9.8 K Ohms (Between the PINS)
Diode Mode to Ground 2.664

I put a 200K resistor instead of 10K and it switched on with Battery Connected and 1% Charge with "Battery Not Charging".

Put back the 10K resistor on the board.

[UPDATE]

With Internal LCD Disconnected and external video connected the machine draws a steady 20V and i can see the apple logo on the monitor. But it gets stuck there.

Can it be a Hall Sensor Issue ?

Then ? It worked randomly for sometime with the battery. But then again after sometime back to this. I dont have a known good battery to eliminate if its a battery issue. Any other checks?

Hi, i got a working battery to test. Its not working.
Moreover the machine went dead again stuck at 5V
again i see PPVIN_G3H_P3V3G3H is shorted .
I ll remove all components and check again. If its D6902 then it will be the third time i ll change it.
Why is it getting shorted ?
