Macbook A2289 820-01987

The readings I have sent was without battery connected , as I pulled the board out of the top case.

R7020 is intact i zoomed it under the scope with very clear view no physical damage, but I can replace it by a new one if you suggest me to , which side of R7020 I should measure to get the 10V ? is PPDCIN_G3H or PPDCIN_G3H_ CHGR? also AUX_DET is on low voltage should i trace components on that line to see if anyone is slighly damaged which could cause the low voltage?

Please advice thank you very much , I got this laptop for a while and customer is now driving me crazy.

With charger alone, you can't get 10V at R7020!
Its voltage comes from USB-C input, which can be 5V, or 20V.
As I already explained, if you really get 10V at R7020 (same as U7000 P_IN), then AUX_DET (U7000) MUST be 2.5V aprox.
Some of the readings posted before, must be wrong.

You can get 10V at R7020 only from system side (F7000), through Q7030/40; if battery has 10V then.
ONLY if Q7040 is bad, or incorrect controlleed by U7000.
And I repeat, you can't get 1.26V at AUX_DET with 10V at R7020.

No need to change R7020 if measure 0 ohm...

Oops , I Think there s a tiny confusion here according to my earlier message i posted those

Yesterday at 10:36 PM
Here are the Voltages of the following lines ,

1- P_IN = 10.41V
2- AUX_DET = 1.26V
3-VDDIO1P8 = 1.8V
4- SMC_RST_IN = 0.0V
5-VDDA= 5.14V
6-VDDP = 5.13V
7-AUX_OK = NC PAD
8- A/BMON=0.0V

R7030/40 = 0.2 OHMS
C7030/40 is solid and intact = 0.474 diode mode reading

But i did not check voltages of R7020 , I have done it without the battery , I completely removed the board and took it to my work table and connect the USB amp meter , You have asked me to check those following components and their traces

Check R/C7030/40 and their traces.
You may need to change Q7030/40. , I did not check in ohms R7020 neither its voltages , but the voltages posted are without battery connected , I can double check it again, or should i change U7020 Directly?

No need to remove R7020.
Just check if you get 0 ohm over it; in other words, 2 ohm between C7023 pins.
Also check if you get 0 ohm between R7015 and C7029.
If all these checkings good, then is impossible to have:
"1- P_IN = 10.41V
2- AUX_DET = 1.26V"

When I measure R7020 On the side of C7032 Not C7023 i got 0.2 ohms, as well as when i test it between R7015 And C7029 also giving 0.2 ohms. I went back to retake the voltages of .

"1- P_IN = 5,08V But the #2 remains at the same voltage,I checked R7015 in ohms 225k ohms is that normal?
2- AUX_DET = 1.26V"

Diode mode and ohm scale don't get same reading, is normal.

Q7030/40 can be removed and tested out of board.
If you don't know how, just replace them.

I changed Q7030/40 since then , all the voltages disappeared including PPBUS_G3H none of the 3.3V are present , no boot , I replaced Q7030/40 by the original ones that I removed and still no PPBUS_G3H neither The 3.3V please help me , I am worried now .

I doubled and tripled check the area and also the back of where i was working but everything is in perfect shape, no knocked out components i use very good heat sink to protect all the surroundings to prevent any other components to get Knock out and precision heat ,

Here are the voltages of U7000 now

P_IN= 5.13V
AUX_DET=1.29V
VDDIO1P8=0.00V
SMC_RST_IN=0.010V
VDDA=5.13V
VDDP=5.13V
AUX_OK= NC
AMON=0.00V
BMON=0.00V

Check diode mode to ground at PPBUS_G3H.

Maybe U7000 was affected by the heat applied.
You may need to reball, or change it.

Here What I got from R5220/21

DIode mode reading of pp1v9_slps2r = 0.357 and Voltage is _ 1.8v

R5220 I2C_UPC_SDA = 1.5V and diode mode = 0.433

R5221 I2C_UPC_SCL = 1.04V and diode mode = 0.431
