Macbook A2681 LAS Issue

Device Reboots when LID is closed and opened.
When LID is closed device shuts down and when LID is open device turns on.
I also get a panic report when this happens.
Happens if i manually put it to sleep.

Initially this was an intermittent issue but its there.

I remove the LAS. Put the machine to sleep manually and the machine reboots.

With external display connected - the machine will sleep/wake normally for the first 3-4 times before giving the same issue.

Install macOS Tahoe (if possible) and try to recalibrate LAS.

I updated to Tahoe. But ho to recalibrate the sensor. the repair assistant only has triage options.

Replace LAS and see if repair assistant can fix the problem.

Close the LID - wait for 5s. Open - No Problem
Close the LID - wait for 4s. Open - No Problem
Went down to 1s. No Problem.
Problem arises when the LID is closed and opened almost instantly.
