MBA A2337 Freezing Behavior

If you turn it on it works perfectly. However if you close the lid and open again keyboard and trackpad do not work anymore you need to RESTART machine for it to work again.

If you plug a USB mouse it will work even if the trackpad is NOT WORKING

Any ideas about this issue?

Very likely Hall sensor issue.
Disconnect JR850 and check if changes.
If still same, try disconnecting RIO flex.

Tried with JR850 disconnected and if it sleep and goes back work but if it sleep and I left it for a while without usage keyboard and trackpad will not work

I am not sure if I did the right thing with this RIO flex but with it turned on and already frozen I unplugged the big flex on that small board which I think is the RIO connector since there is nothing about it on the board view but still same issue

Am I doing it on the wrong connector?

That small board seems to be 3 connectors

1 for speaker
1 I GUESS for Touch ID
1 I guess the RIO connector

By the way

The one I told you

With it disconnected the machine will not turn on I guess it has communication with the board to power up

I am sure I am thinking about wrong one

Which one is the RIO connector?

Actually I think I am disconnecting the right connector

The big one on the small board

WITH the battery disconnected

But openning the LID and pressing power DOES NOT make the machine turn on AT ALL

Once touch ID is disconnected, why do you expect to react?

Machine should automatically turn on connecting the charger.
Pressing any key should have same effect also.

In fact you must check AMR_LEFT/RIGHT_OR_ND_1V8 signals behavior, with lid close/open.
If any stays always low, there is the problem.
Disconnecting the mentioned connectors, corresponding signal should be always high.

Using the charger machine turned on

With both RIO and JR850 disconnected

However SAME

You close the lid wait for some minutes and keyboard and trackpad does not work

Is this still valid?
Reconnect RIO board for test.

The best option is to check UR200 signals; especially when the problem appears.

This is not valid

I only mentioned cause right after sleep it works but if you let the machine sleep for 5-10 minutes it will not work..

AMR_LEFT_OR_ND_1V8 = 1.57v
AMR_RIGHT_OR_ND_1V8 = I didnt disamble the board at atll. Is there a way to check it without dissambleor the LEFT measurement already means something since its below 1.8v?

Save data and do DFU restore.

KB/TP worked for short time after coming back from sleep even before disconnecting JR850?

Yes

If you click for the machine to sleep and instantly use the KB/TP it will work

BUT

If you wait for 5-10 min it will not work anymore

Then shouldn't be Hall sensors issue.
Unless some of them is not stable in time.
To discard 100%, you should check the 3 signals when problem appears.

TP/KB work perfect in time before going to sleep?

Don't forget about DFU...

The machine works perfectly until it goes for sleep for 5-10 minutes then when I wake the screen appears and KB/TP do not work at all, BUT If I plug a USB mouse the USB mouse works normal while the KB/TP still not working.

Should I go for DFU restore? Should I do the DFU restore with any flex disconnected or no?

Which 3 SIGNALS are you talking about?

But may be not related.
I'm not sure if problem appears only when you close/open the lid, or even if macOS goes to sleep by itself; through software I mean.

IPD_LID_OPEN_1V8 goes to trackpad and must be high to enable it.
Also keyboard doesn't work if something goes wrong with trackpad.

No it didnt fix

For some reason it worked different after doing DFU restore (kinda of crazy worked out good) but after a day its doing the same thing!

I did again DFU restore and right after install it. I closed the lid and opened instantly it even did not enter the password screen it still at the desktop screen and it totally freeze mouse and keyboard!
