Customer told it was working normal them it appeared the screen with low battery the next day when she woke up put to charge and then it died completely.

No water damage and its looks like brand new visually inspecting

3V3_G3H_RTC = 3.36
PP1V8 SLPS2R = Goes to 1v8 and then drops in a LOOP
PP1V1 = Goes to 1v and the drops in a LOOP
PP1V8_AWAKE = Goes to 1v8 and then drops in a LOOP

Not sure if its weird or not but I am measuring using lower port on the USB-C of J3300. If I use the upper port (closer to the lid) it gets 5.20V and PPBUS goes to 2.5V and the slowly starts to drops

Compare diode mode readings between all 4 ports; at least CD3215 LDOs.
If nothing strange, proceed as bellow.

Check if board starts with charged battery.
If yes, save data.
Then try DFU restore.

You can try DFU revive directly, but may not help.

I know how to do diode mode. However not sure how to measure on the ports since its USB-C.

Should I remove the connector and measure on the PINS? Can you confirm the PINS that I should measure?

After that I will try to start board with charged battery right?

We mentioned so many time these on the forum...

You can test with the battery at any time.

Another important thing but its been really weird.

I have a MPB 2016 with Apple Configurator 2 installed and I tried DFU using it as the Master Notebook. However I tried to put a working MBP to DFU and couldn't. Also tried to install Apple Configurator on it and it requires macOS Sonoma, I found a .dmg of old version of Apple Configurator 2 but also it doesn't work to put my working computer into DFU.

Is it possible only to do DFU stuff nowadays with a MacBook which have Sonoma installed? Usually M1 and higher?

I also tried 3 cables thinking that my cable could be damage.

REALLY WEIRD

Use a cable known as working with another DFU.
Don't use thunderbolt cable; charger cable is good.
DFU requires USB 2.0 connection, no need of special protocol; like TBT, or USB 3.0.
I use non-original Apple cable; however, not "pure chinese"!

I also use an A1932 with Ventura for DFU.

I used 3 charger cable (2 original and 1 Chinese MFI verified)

I used a MBP 2016 however I already used it a year ago to DFU and it did the job. Its over a year without using DFU on this computer and also I tried to install apple configurator on another MBP 2016 which mentioned REQUIRED MACOS 14

What would you do?

I am trying to get a M1 with a friend to test that!

I think you totally did not understand

FORGET THE DAMAGE MBP FOR A MINUTE

I am with two working MBP 2016. Trying to test DFU mode in one of them. I couldn't put them on DFU. Then there is this issue about apple configurator to be installed on SONOMA (MACOS 14)

why is it not working? Do I need only MACBOOK WITH SONOMA to use DFU from now on?

Why would I short a 100% WORKING MACBOOK in order to put it into DFU?

Your T2 voltages fluctuate.
This may be caused by some problem on secondary power supplies.
Shorting 3V3_S5 will prevent the MLB to even try to start PCH/CPU.
You don't need working CPU to complete DFU.
I personally did that on 00850 with bad PCH; internally shorting 3V3_S5.
And I did not refer to do this on the WORKING MacBook!

No idea why you can't enter DFU, even with good working machine.
Be sure to follow all the steps.

Yes I am not able to put in DFU and I have 2 working macbooks here

I tried with 3 different charger cables (2 original and 1 chinese all of them charges perfectly any machine)

Also the MBP which I use as the MASTER on these target DFU 100% working macbooks is a MBP A1706 with Ventura installed.

I am following the right commands on it.

ANOTHER thing about the macbook with issue I dont have a charged battery for this model to test. Is there a way to charge the original battery without removing it from the case?

We discussed several times about this tool on the forum.
Not cheap, but very usefull; the best on its category.

If battery isn't locked, you can charge it directly.
To unlock it, need to buy software license; some more money...

By the way got a mbp m3 with sonoma and also not able to put computer on DFU.

How can I go ahead with it? Should I compare LDO?
