Water Damaged Macbook Air A2179

I have a Macbook Air A2179 (820-01658-A) had water damage but no obvious water damage signs.

  1. The Green light on the charge stays comes on and the fan spins
  2. The Macbook battery has 10Volts
  3. No light when USB Charger plugged in and won't boot off battery motherboard completely dead
I don't have a boardview for this motherboard. I am new to macbook repairs so please been patient with me but please know that I have some electronics experience from repairing laptops.

Thanks
Antony

Which is the exact PPBUS_G3H voltage?
Do you get 3V3_G3?

Check if all SLPS2R and AWAKE voltages are present.

PPBUS_G3H has 10.43 when USB C plugged in but has no voltage when battery plugged in on its own, not sure about SLPS2R and awake voltages as I don't know what to look for on the boardview when searching for SLPS2R for example it comes up with many names (see pdf attached)

Of course, there are several rails for mentioned names; maybe 5, or more.
Just check if you get these voltages.
No need to check in different points for the same rail.

10.43V on PPBUS_G3H without battery???

Seems that you don't want to search for mentioned voltages.
Try to put the machine in DFU mode.
If these voltages are present, then you should be able to do it.

Search on the forum, we have many posts with usefull information.
Be aware, many people complained about how difficult is to reach DFU.

You Wrote "Seems that you don't want to search for mentioned voltages. " are you referring to a previous post
"

if so then I did ask for more clarification as I don't know where I would find them and what they are called on a boardview?

The DFU mode does not work as the machines does not even power on , no fan spin

T2 corruption prevent the machine to start, so DFU is a tool to fix this problem.
Did you try at least???

You can find 1V1/1V8_SLPS2R at page 63; may exist other in the schematic too (0V8?).
Use the same logic to find AWAKE voltages...

Did you test all explained on that tutorial?
Did you use a second Mac with SAME macOS installed as in T2 one?
