You CANNOT adjust the current injected in the MLB.
Adjusting the voltage, AUTOMATICALLY changes the current consumption.
You MUST set PSU current limit to max just to prevent PSU blocking, in case the actual voltage will cause higher current.
Did you set amp limit to max???
I repetead several times already.
Set PSU limit to MAX; 3A in your case.
If you really get 1A/4V, that means 4W of power dispated as heat; enough to detect something (at least a litle bit) heater than rest of MLB.
Of course, thermal camera helps a lot in such case.
"Consumption is around 1A when I am shortening to ground PP3V3_G3S"
I don't understand what you mean.
Why would you that?
I had thermal camera in the past and didn't think useful.
Also I am using thinner instead of alcohol but it showed really well U6855 getting hot and drying the thinner itself. After removed this IC nothing else got HEAT.
I will set to 4V/3A and check all of the rest
BY THE WAY
I removed U6860 and also the short still on the board
and I put NEW U8200... now we do not have short betwenn S-D only on PP3V3_G3S
Is it ok to inject 4V with the removed U6860 and soldered new 8200 in the board?
